  2. Use the Power of Prints
  3. Make Dresses and Jumpsuits Your Best Friend
  4. Know Your Body Type
  5. Think Outside the Box
  6. Clean Your Closet

Keep it Simple

It helps to approach it as a basic formula and start simple. A top + bottoms and shoes = an outfit. If time allows add a statement accessory (scarf, necklace, earrings).

Use the Power of Prints

Wearing prints like this top and this one means you can skip the accessories and get out the door faster.

Make Dresses and Jumpsuits Your Best Friend

Throw on a simple tee shirt dress or a jumpsuit - one and done. Bonus points for adding a cute jacket for an extra layer, and it’s so easy to remove if the weather warms up.

Know Your Body Type

This will help you when shopping online to know what looks good on you and what to avoid. There are countless quizzes online that will help you narrow it down.

Or ask a friend. The main thing you want to determine is do you have a problem area you want to conceal? Or a part of your body you want to highlight? For example, a small chested woman will benefit from a dress or blouse with smocking (a large chested woman might want to avoid this).

If you’re problem area is your tummy then you may consider avoiding body con dresses unless they have plenty of stretch!

Think Outside the Box

Remember a top with buttons down the front can be unbuttoned and tied in front, easily creating a different fit. A maxi dress with a slit on the side can be tied to shorten the length or add visual interest to an outfit.

A lacy bralette is your best friend. The idea behind a bralette unlike a regular bra is that they are meant to be seen. Let the strap show, let the bra cup peak out of the top. Think of your bralette as an accessory and have fun with it.

Clean Your Closet

Keep a selection of clothes in your closet that you actually wear and weed out the items that don’t fit, need repaired, or you just don’t like. Once you have a closet of dresses, blouses and jeans that you actually wear getting dressed will be easier!

If you’re on the fence about getting rid of an item pull it out of your closet and store it under your bed or in a separate closet for awhile. If you don’t miss it then you know it’s time to get rid of it.

There you have it, six quick and easy tips to get you looking good, feeling good and out the door because you have more important things to think about.
